Learning a second language is always a good idea. In the United States today, Spanish is almost as prevalent as English. How many times do you hear messages in English translated into Spanish? This is just one of the reasons why learning Spanish is a good idea. Yet there are a lot of people who experience difficulty with a new language. If new languages are difficult for you, what follows are some tricks and tips that may help you.
It will help a lot to be patient. It's doubtful you'll be fluent in Spanish within 24 hours. Even if you have total recall and can remember your conjugated verbs and vocabulary, you may still have difficulty with sentences, etc. You'll get nowhere fast if you put a lot of pressure on yourself to speak fluently in too short a time. Just let your self take it slowly. You'll feel more comfortable with the language. It's also good to learn slowly is because people will have more patience with you if they know you're trying to learn their language. You need to be careful so you don't offend anyone. Whenever you can, start to think in Spanish rather than your native language. You may find this hard at first, but you can gradually learn how to transform your thoughts into a new language. Don't expect to do this perfectly right away. Periodically throughout your day ask yourself how you would say the words you are thinking in Spanish. if you do this often, you'll find that you get much more skilled at it. You'll find that the internal translation starts to get easier. Then, one day, you may suddenly realize you were thinking in Spanish on your own. Once you can think in Spanish, you can then practice making these thoughts verbal by speaking them out loud; this way your ability to speak the language will also improve.
It will also help you to watch Spanish TV and movies. This is easy because there are plenty of Spanish TV broadcasts, and most movie rental stores keep a foreign language section. You'll hear how Spanish words are suppose to be spoken. This is great if you don't live near a Spanish speaking population. To begin, you can watch with subtitles. Then as your understanding increases, just turn them off and check yourself. You can accelerate your learning by doing this exercise. Learning how to speak Spanish, or any language, doesn't need to be an experience in frustration. The net is full of helpful ideas and cool tools to help you. One great key to learning any language – an open mind. The more open you are to the process, the better you will absorb the knowledge. It will be much harder for you if you try to make it sound similar to your own native tongue.
It's always a great idea to learn a second language. English and Spanish are almost equally spoken in the US. How many times do you hear messages in English translated into Spanish? That's one reason why it's a good idea to learn Spanish. But a lot of people have difficulty with learning new languages. If you have trouble learning languages, here are a few tips to help you out:
Keep in mind to have some patience. You will not learn how to speak Spanish fluently overnight. Even if you had all the vocabulary and verbs remembered, your sentence structure may need a little work. If you exert too much pressure to have fluency to fast, you'll only slow yourself down. So allow yourself to slowly learn. Doing this will let you feel more comfortable with learning. It's also good to learn slowly is because people will have more patience with you if they know you're trying to learn their language. You need to be careful so you don't offend anyone.
Work on improving your “ear” for the language. Some languages have more of an oral-emphasized than written. You will still need to learn how to 'hear' a language as long as it's still alive. Knowing how to correctly write a sentence or the alphabet will produce limited results. You will need to understand people when they talk to you. The best thing to do is listen to your language as much as you possibly can. You will know you're on the right track when you can identify your language after hearing a few spoken words.
Immerse your life in the new language.
Is there a nearby place where Spanish is mainly spoken? One really great way to learn is listening in on a conversation between people who are fluent. People are usually more than willing to help others learn their language and communicate. You'll get practice using your new language the way it is meant to be spoken without having to travel far to do so!
Learning Spanish or any new language does not have to be so painful. The beginning may be a little rough, but in time it does get a lot better. You will become fluent if you persist and make good use of as many tricks and tips as possible.
Believe it or not, you can learn a new language quickly and easily. It's really quite a bit of fun if you don't make it into a chore! A new language means that you have a skill that can be used in so many ways. You'll have an easier time when you travel. For one thing, it can make traveling much simpler. Even at home, there's a good chance it will enable you to speak to more people. In today's economy, knowing another language can make it easier to get a job. Spanish is definitely emerging as America's second language.
Many people living in America today do not even speak English; many of these people are Spanish speaking. That's why people who are bilingual and can translate Spanish are highly in demand right now.
Keep in mind to have some patience. It will take longer than 24 hours to become fluent in Spanish. Even if you have total recall and can remember your conjugated verbs and vocabulary, you may still have difficulty with sentences, etc. If you exert too much pressure to have fluency to fast, you'll only slow yourself down. Instead let yourself learn slowly. If you do this you'll find you're more comfortable with Spanish. If you learn at a slower pace, when you're trying to speak with people in their language they'll show more patience toward you. If you talk like you're completely fluent, and you aren't, you could easily offend someone.
Work on improving your “ear” for the language. Many languages are more oral-based than written. You will still need to learn how to 'hear' a language as long as it's still alive. Knowing how to write the alphabet or how to write a correct sentence will only get you so far. Naturally, you'll want to be able to understand other people when they speak to you. The best approach is to listen to the language as much as you can. You will know you're on the right track when you can identify your language after hearing a few spoken words.
Keep in mind that perfection comes from practice. Be sure to always talk in your language as often as you can, and don't be concerned about how it looks, or sounds. Another tip is to replace the words in your language with the words you know from the language you're learning. So if your new language is Spanish, then just try to use “cena” instead of “dinner” and in place of “one” use “uno.” The words will feel like second nature to you, in time. You'll know and understand the new words when you hear them used. You'll be amazed at your ability to understand your new language when you hear it spoken. Learning how to speak Spanish, or any language, doesn't need to be an experience in frustration. It's so easy to find hints and tools to help you with the learning. You can help yourself learn any language, including Spanish, by having an open mind to it. You'll soak-up the information a lot easier if your mind is open to it. The more you try to make the language sound like your native tongue, the harder you will make things for yourself.
Congratulations on your decision to learn Spanish! Fortunately, learning how to speak Spanish doesn't have to be hard. Spanish is spoken by most of the world. So even if learning language is hard, you really should have no problem finding a technique that will make it easy. Next we'll go into some strategies you can employ to make learning Spanish a whole lot easier and more fun.
It's much easier to learn from a CD course. CD courses are terrific for those who feel a bit shy about new languages. You can just listen to the words, and then hear how they're used in full sentences. The CD can walk you through the same basic learning steps that a classroom based course will use, but you won't have to worry about making mistakes in front of other people. Also, with your Spanish language CD – it can go where ever you go! You can just use a CD player, or you can download lessons on an MP3 player and you're all set! You are not limited to one central location for your learning.
As you listen to Spanish, pay close attention to what is being spoken. This will improve your 'hearing' for it. Many languages are more oral-based than written. Good listening skills are still very important if the language is still a living language. Memorizing the alphabet, or writing a proper sentence, only takes you so far. You will need to understand people when they talk to you. The best way to do this is to listen to as much of your chosen language as possible. When you're able to positively identify the language after hearing a few words spoken, then that's a sure sign you're well on your way to learning it.
You can also watch Spanish TV and movies. Any movie rental store offers foreign language films, and it seems there's no shortage of Spanish TV. This will let you gain knowledge of how Spanish is actually spoken but without traveling just to hear it. This is great if you don't live near a Spanish speaking population. When you watch, be sure to enable subtitles on. Then as your understanding increases, just turn them off and check yourself. You can accelerate your learning by doing this exercise.
Learning a language does not have to be difficult. Remember, Spanish is not as hard to learn as many other languages, so it's a good one to start learning. There are lots of ways to go about learning a new language. Everyone has to choose the method that it best for them. Once you find the right method for you, you will know it. Just take a step by step approach to learning Spanish and one day you will find that you are speaking and understanding it fluently!
Rumor has it that there is a new iPod in town, and it speaks nothing of the music exchange the iPod nation is comfortably accustomed to. iPod users of today will soon be finding a new contender, Zune, in the shared media arena. Zune is a like a flash unusual scheme developed by Microsoft, and will be fresh on the market in late November. Zune is Microsoft’s most multi-faceted product to date; it will encourage not only as an iPod replacement, but will offer wireless networking capabilities, its own branded music line, and attractive features such as a large high quality screen.
Zune is essentially a powerful handheld media player, allowing Zune users to exchange and transfer files using Wi-Fi technology. The Zune prototype looks like an iPod but with an enhanced screen for videos and movies. Further speculation into the Zune project reveals that this electronic consumer device will acquire momentum fairly quick in today’s media-savvy user markets: we can expect a complete roll out of accessories, speakers, cases, software, and download functions specifically tailored for Zune users.
Zune will be in direct competition with the iPod, since iTunes will not be compatible with Zune downloading. Instead, Microsoft plans to introduce a PlaysForSure feature. According to Zune coverage by Engagdet.com (July 11-19 2006), this will enable users to download and exchange a limited amount of music tracks. Video and other media content will be available for download shortly after the launch, and Microsoft will likely continue to pursue the Xbox Live Anywhere mobile platform to incorporate games, e-mail functions, and online updates.
Zune’s storage capacity offers 30GB, and will be priced at $399. Zune is expected to launch in late November, targeting current iPod users and primarily the 18-34 demographic.
Dedicated iPod and Apple fans can look forward to some heated competition and a prolific array of accessories, co-branding with Xbox, and features not yet found on Apple’s iPod. Zune will capture the attention of a large market segment, especially its current Xbox users, as it will incorporate much of the gaming technology into the Zune experience.
Microsoft and Apple will be further dueling head-to-head with the lines of accessories, additions, upgrades, and branded merchandise. However, true market control will be significant if Microsoft offers licensing authorization to companies such as Sandisk, Samsung, or other media outlets beyond Apple’s control. The diverse media device may require exclusive licenses for many of it’s features, and it’s unlikely that Microsoft will stop at music and video. Still, Apple objective may return with a Zune attack strategy all of their have. . .

Press Release:
CAMCORDER REDEFINED: SONY DEBUTS WORLD’S FIRST CONSUMER INTERCHANGEABLE LENS HD CAMCORDER
SAN DIEGO, June 13, 2010 Following the 25th anniversary of its industry-leading Handycam product line, Sony today announced the innovative NEX-VG10 Interchangeable Lens HD Camcorder.
The new NEX-VG10 is the world’s first consumer camcorder with interchangeable lenses and the first Handycam camcorder to feature an extra-large ExmorTM APS HD CMOS sensor.
“The NEX-VG10 takes Sony’s Handycam line to the next level by allowing unprecedented artistic expression that isn’t possible with conventional consumer video cameras,” said Andy Bubala, director of Sony’s camcorder business. “With this camcorder, video enthusiasts and photographers can now capture cinematic full HD movies and premium stereo sound.”
Sony’s NEX-VG10 Interchangeable Lens HD Handycam Camcorder is equipped with the same ExmorTM APS HD CMOS sensor used in the “NEX-5″ and “NEX-3″ digital cameras and compatible with the high grade “E-mount” series of smaller, lighter lenses optimized for video shooting with silent operation and AF. It is also compatible with a wealth of “A-mount” interchangeable lenses used by Sony’s existing alpha DSLR camera lineup via a mount adapter (sold separately), including award winning Sony G Lenses and Carl Zeiss branded lenses.
Coupled with Sony’s powerful BIONZ processor, the camcorder’s ExmorTM APS HD CMOS sensor realizes high resolution video and 14 megapixel still images. Approximately 19.5 times bigger than the standard sensor found in conventional camcorders, the APS HD CMOS sensor enables an extremely shallow depth of field. This allows videographers to achieve cinematic results with stunning background defocus (bokeh). Users can also enjoy DSLR-quality photo capture with features like Auto HDR, Handheld Twilight, and Anti Motion Blur, as well as catch fast action sequences with a continuous burst rate of up to seven fps.
The NEX-VG10 can capture full 1920×1080 high definition video at up to 24Mbps for amazing clarity and detail, ideal for recording on to Blu-ray DiscTM media. It also comes with an E-mount 18-200mm lens optimized for video shooting that offers a powerful 11x optical zoom in addition to a silent auto-focus system and Optical SteadyshotTM image stabilization with Active Mode for superior versatility.
Satisfying the needs of serious videographers, sound quality matches the stellar imaging performance of the NEX-VG10. Its Quad Capsule Spatial Array Stereo Microphone uses advanced processing algorithms to combine signals from four individual microphone capsules. The result is exceptionally clear stereo audio with high directional response, allowing videographers to capture more sound from their subject and less background noise. The camcorder also features dedicated inputs for optional external microphones and headphones to monitor sound levels.
The camcorder’s TruBlackTM technology brings remarkably higher contrast and brightness to its 3.0″ Xtra Fine LCDTM swivel display, delivering more natural, realistic colors and easier viewing in bright conditions. The LCD is supplemented by a high-resolution adjustable electronic viewfinder that helps framing, monitoring and capturing clear images.
Compact and easy to handle, the NEX-VG10 gives videographers the flexibility of a removable lens with the ergonomics and operability of a Handycam camcorder. An intuitive jog dial and hotkeys make it easy to navigate menus and adjust shooting parameters, including full manual control of Iris, Shutter Speed, Gain and White Balance for professional results.
Dual accessory shoes (Alpha Hot Shoe/Universal Cold Shoe) allow for many still photography and video accessories, such as the ECM-CG50 shotgun microphone and external flash lighting. There’s also a choice of rechargeable battery options, including the NP-FV100 that provides up to 315 minutes of continuous HD shooting (may vary), and a specially designed soft carrying case.
Included with purchase as a download voucher ($99 value), Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10 video editing software includes powerful tools for video compositing, color correction and sound mixing to produce cinema-quality HD movies with ease. You can also share your creations via DVD, Blu-ray DiscTM media, or upload to the web all from one simple program.
The NEX-VG10 accepts both Memory Stick PRO DuoTM (including Memory Stick PRO-HG DuoTM) and SD (including both SDHC and SDXC formats) media. Users can record up to four hours of high definition footage (1920×1080, FH mode) when using the 32GB memory card.
Sony’s Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX offers an industry leading 30MB per second transfer rate, which means Handycamusers can upload video clips in a fraction of actual playback time.
Price and Availability
The NEX-VG10 will be available in September for about $2,000 and presales on www.sonystyle.com will begin July 14. They will also be available at Sony Style retail stores and at authorized dealers nationwide.
There are a lot of portable projectors on the market with a focus on the business user who travels a lot to give presentations. What we don’t hear much about are screens that are portable aimed at the same crown.
Many of the portable projectors need an ideal projection surface to really work well and Epson has announced a new ultra portable projector screen called the ES3000 just for the mobile users. The new screen comes in a wheeled case and has a one-piece design.
The screen collapses and expands vertically and horizontally to fit the space you have to work with and can be used for up to 80-inch images. The screen can also be configured into 4:3, 16:9, or 16:10 aspect ratios. The MSRP for the ES3000 is $249 and Epson says it is currently available though I can’t find it online or in the Epson catalog at the time of writing.
A new TV technology may yet offer another slew of HD video entertainment improvements and this should signal another shift from the already impressive 3D era people are raving about to date. The new technology is currently being developed by Prysm and is called laser phosphor display or LPD.
The new HDTV technology boasts of lower power consumption and the ability to display quad HD and 3D HD. The new TV sets will be able to bounce laser beams off to phosphor pixels on TV sets which are made of glass and plastic thereby delivering crisp resolution via big and small HDTV screens.
To get the ball rolling on this new technology, Prysm will be demonstrating the new LPD concept in Europe when they start showing off their jumbo trons. This will be followed by the private consumer market focus.
The power consumption level is said to be a tenth of what plasma TVs consume, something attributed to the processors which manage the lasers used.
However, one thing that these new HDTVs may have to work on is the overall size (it has a bulky rear end). As everyone is already cool with the thin structure of LCD TVs we have at the moment, I doubt people would want to revert to the old projection-style TV sets to avoid eating up too much space.
There isn’t a family or a house that does not wish to have a customized home theater that reflects their favorite TV show, comic character or movie. In fact, home theater themes are big business and there is a big business out there for those who would love to watch movies and listen to music in style.
The idea of having a customized theater right in the middle of the house is an ego booster, and since geeks always like to pep up their egos with the help of electronic gadgets and technology, home theatre themes seem to be a great idea for most of them. Here are 15 of the most popular and cool home theater themes that would make Geeks salivate.
Home Entertainment Theater Theme – Nautilus Geek
Nautilus Geek is an amazing concept that harks back to the days of early 80s when the game Nautilus was rather popular. With red chairs and out-of-the-world ceiling and walls, this theater will make sure you enjoy every bit of the movie you watch.
Star Trek Theater
Those who are into science fiction would certainly like the Star Trek Home Theatre which comes with 8 servers and a DVD library totalling 3816 movies. It sure is a great way to be lost in those futuristic melodramas and is a perfect tribute for Star Trek fans.
DIY Entertainment Center from Car Parts
There couldn’t be a better way to catch those racing championships than on a large screen in a home theatre. While that may be out of reach for many, the DIY Car Parts Entertainment Centre is an amazing way to refurbish a boring living room. Much of the furnishing comes from used car parts.
Art Deco Home Theater
While it is a well known belief that geeks are not usually interested in intellectual art movements, there could be a few exceptions to the rule. The Art Deco Home Theatre is for those futuristic art lovers, who also like to watch movies in a technologically sound space right in their houses.

Outdoor Home Theater
Home is where the heart is, and if your heart isn’t at home, a home theatre has to be outside the home, right? Well, if that quite didn’t make sense to you, you might want to understand the logic behind the Outdoor Home Theatre which may not be a great idea if you live in a rainy area.

Sci-fi Theater Theme
There isn’t a geek who does not like to travel in time and space. In fact most people would sell themselves for an inter-galactic trip. While that may not be logically possible now, one could get a Sci-fi Home Theatre Theme just like the one here, and then travel in space along with all the Sci-fi movies being played. It includes the Predator among other great items from Sci Fi themes.

Batman Home Theater Theme

Well, it’s hard not to be surprised about this, but it seems like the Samsung Galaxy i9200 is likely fake. Why, you ask? According to skeptics, the specs are just too good to be true, and some of the technologies that would be seen on this device are simply unheard of.
The spec rundown of the i9200 reads like the best phone to ever exist.
4.3? Super AMOLED 2 display
720p resolution: 1280 x 720 pixels
about 340 ppi
Bluetooth 3.0, WiFi b/g/n
2 GHz processor
32 GB of internal memory
microSD slot up to 32 GB
1 GB RAM, 4 GB ROM
8 megapixel camera with full high definition recording, presumably 1080p, but maybe 720p
3.5 mm audio/video jack
accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensors
Google Android 3.0 w/ no TouchWiz
So what sounds so wrong about this glorious device that may never exist? Well, a lot to some people. First off, the display may sound better than what’s possible. Right now, it’s hard for manufacturers to actually keep up with the demand of regular AMOLED displays, resulting in smartphone delays. Samsung only recently announced the Super AMOLED display, and these devices still haven’t hit the U.S. shores yet – although you can find the Samsung Wave, which also sports a Super AMOLED display elsewhere.
To assume that Samsung has been ignoring the insane demand to supply regular AMOLED displays in favor of developing Super AMOLED 2 displays seems unlikely. Not to mention that a display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 could be possible by the time this device would supposedly hit the shelves, but it seems unlikely.
Android 3.0, if the rumors are believable, is supposed to support very high resolution displays, but right now everything is up for question. In fact, Android 3.0 might be old news by the time the next Galaxy hits in the middle of 2011.
Another feature that seems pretty unreal on the Samsung Galaxy 2 is the 4 GB ROM inside. Why would a device need that much read-only memory? Gingerbread will probably be a much larger update than any of Android’s previous releases, but it’s still hard to believe that much room would be needed. Maybe they were just ensuring that the device would live to see another major Android update by adding so much space.
The list goes on over at BriefMobile, and they make a good case, but really, who’s to say that the Galaxy 2 specs aren’t possible? Technology is moving ten times as fast as the previous year, and I wouldn’t completely discount these specs to be on a device that’s far from now. Make a note that they aren’t saying that these specs are impossible to produce but they are trying to debunk this particular device as a fan-made creation.
Guess we’ll have to wait to see what HTC and Motorola have to bring to the tablet later this year. If these companies can bring those rumored specs to market, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Samsung Galaxy 2 takes an even bigger step forward.
